Privacy

There are no accounts here and we never ask for your name, e-mail address or anything else about you. What follows is everything the game stores.

What is stored

• An identity cookie (di_pid): a random value set on your first visit, httpOnly so scripts cannot read it. Only its SHA-256 hash is stored. It exists so the game can remember today's questions and your streak.
• Your questions and guesses, with the answer each one got, against that hash.
• Your score, streak and games played.
• Daily totals - how many games were played and how many model calls they cost - so we can tell whether anyone is playing and what it costs to run.
• Words you send to a friend, if you use that box, with the hash of whoever created them.

Your IP address is used only for a per-minute rate limit. It is not stored and is not part of your identity, so changing network does not make you a different player.

Who else sees it

OpenAI receives the text of each question, to answer it. It does not receive your cookie, your address or your hash. If an advert appears in the footer slot, that ad network sets its own cookies under its own policy; it is given nothing about you from here. Nothing else leaves this server.

Your choices

Clearing this site's cookies resets you completely; the old hash is then orphaned and meaningless. Anything else, write to [email protected].
